Overgrown bushes on footpath along Canterbury Way form Iona close to junction of Great Ashby Way

Reported in the Miscellaneous category anonymously at 16:08, Sun 30 July 2017

Sent to Stevenage Borough Council 2 minutes later

They footpath is overgrown at one point to avoid the brambles you walk on the grass. The whole length of the path needs attention for bushes and edging as over the years the path is half the width. Please attend to or advise those responsible to attend to.

  • Dreadful, nothing has been done, had an email to say it was not dangerous. I will take the matter to the local councilor, why should people have to walk on muddy grass to miss brambles in your face, a. A council employee advised me that the local council are responsible for keeping verges in good condition.

  • This problem is still not fixed, it will not be long before someone has an accident on the foot path. To cut this back is a fairly easy job that should be carried out now before the excuse of birds nesting comes into force
