Security Lights excessively bright and too far reaching
Reported in the Miscellaneous category anonymously at 17:20, Thu 30 November 2017
Sent to Stevenage Borough Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1154283.
The people living at the far end of the cul-de-sac 51-101 Mildmay Road have 3 extremely bright security lights in their garden. The lights illuminate the all adjoining houses and gardens, are unnecessarily bright, on all day and all night until early hours of the morning. The lights illuminate neighbours gardens and bedrooms and the shared parking area.. Have asked neighbours to adjust them, they just seem over-concerned about security. This has been going on for months. The lights are on regardless of whether someone at home or not.

Thought this had been sorted but yesterday the lights were on from 8.00 pm and still on at midnight and on at 6 am but I don't know if they were on all night.

Not sure if this has been fixed or not. After I reported this, the security lights seemed to be turned off but instead they have had a blue flashing full length of the French window Christmas illuminations which have been on permanently 24 hours a day since they were put up. Obviously in the spirit of Christmas, I haven't said anything so will have to wait and see after 12th night.

This is still causing a problem. Their security lights are an infringement of our privacy, they are unreasonable and interfere with our enjoyment of our lounge and back garden. They are situated too high and when entering our back garden from the parking area, we are blinded and cannot see our footpath, given that there are two people in our house with mobility issues, this is a high risk of directly causing injury. The third light is situated to shine directly into our lounge and catches the eye of anyone sitting on the sofa or armchair. They have now introduced a camera in their bedroom window - again this may be filming our back garden as well as theirs and we can see no reason for such excessive security measures.

This is still a problem. He was verbally abusive to us last weekend over parking when it was not our fault. Please do something, he is only renting and has not brought the property. We don't need this aggression and it is making us unwell.
