Overflowing litter & dog bin for 5 weeks

Reported in the Street Cleansing category anonymously at 20:12, Tuesday 10 July 2018

Sent to Stevenage Borough Council 2 minutes later

Overflowing litter & dog bin. This has been reported 5 weeks ago with numerous calls to Stevenage council. It has been reported multiple times both on fixmysteet and by phone and still nothing has been done. Residents are now bagging up dog poo bags and litter in charity bags to try to prevent a health and safety issue with young children that use this entrance to the woodland.

Local residents have now given the council enough time to resolve the issue and are trying to prevent the failure to empty this bin turning into a litter and health and safety issue.

If this has not been resolved by the 11th July 2018 (and ongoing longer term) we will be jointly contacting the Comet newspaper who have already expressed an interest in the story as well as our local councillor.
