The fencing surrounding Whitney Wood is broken down in several places, allowing people access to the woodland where they are consuming alcohol and leaving a large amount of litter.

  • The tonnes of empty beer cans still remain in Whitney Wood near edge of wood all along next to cycle track near bus stop opposite John Henry Newman School. The photos are just a very small example of how bad the littering is.

  • Whitney wood and the fenced off area (including the fencing) is privately owned and the owners responsibility to maintain .
